Gangway Control System
The VingCard Gangway Control System is a secure and flexible method of storing crew, passenger and visitor data, and providing real-time status reports of who is on board and ashore, as required by the ISPS regulations for passenger and merchant vessels.The Gangway Control is set up at the gangway or other suitable location. The system is comprised of:
• A laptop PC
• Gangway Control software
• A camera
• An RFID card scanner
• An RFID card printer and encoder
• 200 blank cards
• A colour ribbon
Crew, passengers and visitors are registered in the system and an identification card is issued with the person's photograph and a unique ID, which is stored as a printed barcode, encoded magnetic stripe or programmed RFID chip.
